Hey friends and family! Life is so unbelievably exciting right now! I will be going back to Cambodia in July with my church, Common Ground. I am so excited to be going back! This time around it will be a little bit different. While I am there I will be talking to Chris Alexander, President of The Center for Global Impact, about what it will look like for me to go back to Cambodia annually. I will be doing a very intentional, focused project every year with the girls. I can't even begin to describe how excited I am to be going back to Cambodia, especially with the potential to go back every year. One of my best friends will be going on the trip with me. I know that the girls will break her heart in the same way that they have broken mine. Their stories are amazing and so moving. You can see just how God has touched them and continues to pursue them even if they don't realize that He is always there. God has just shown over and over again how faithful He is throughout this season of my life and it has given me so much hope and so much energy that I am excited to use while I am in Cambodia.
We had our first meeting this past Monday. There are 15 of us going; almost all women. Nicole, our pastor's wife and one of the leader's of the trip, is bringing her 16 year-old son with her. I really feel like all of us going on the trip have a heart for human trafficking and for the girls in Cambodia. There hearts are open and their minds are ready to experience all of Cambodia and all of the girls. God is just working so much in all of this and I can't wait to get there and be present in all that is Cambodia!
